    Sugar Beet Seed - Whitetail Deer/Turkey/Wildlife Food Plots - 5 lb Bag
    Sugar beets are a brassica that is high in sugar content. Deer love the leafy green tops as well has the roots that sweeten as the temperatures fall. Sugar beets grow best as a stand alone crop and need to be planted earlier than other brassicas.
    Seeding Depth: ¼” - ½”
    Seeding Rate: 7-9 lb per acre (broadcast), 3-5 lb per acre (drilled)
    Seeding Date: Late Spring-Early Summer
    Size: 5 lb net (will seed approximately 1  acre)
    Why uncoated sugar beets? We use uncoated sugar beets because you get a lot more coverage vs coated beets. The downside is they are very dusty. We think the extra coverage for your cost outweighs the benefits of the dust free coated beets.
