Scald Protection valves are installed on Eyewash Stations, Emergency Shower, Drench showers, and any other application where a scalding risk is to be avoided.
They are installed to purge potentially scalding water from the supply lines so sc
alding hot water will not go through an eyewash station or emergency shower.
Where are they needed?
Use anti-scalding devices in locations where
the ambient water temperature may exceed 100°F, or
the supply pipes may be exposed to direct sunlight, or
where the supply lines may be exposed to extreme temperatures from furnaces, boilers, machinery, or the manufacturing process
