    Description

2 pg. letter, approx. 4-1/2" x 7", written on front and back of a single sheet, dated at 2 Cromwell Houses S.W. (London, England), Sept. 13, 1892, from Robert Todd Lincoln to Lord Brassey.
A scarce autograph letter signed (ALS) of
    ROBERT TODD LINCOLN

    The letter reads:
    "Dear Lord Brassey,
I went into the country on Saturday intending to return yesterday & did not have my letters sent on - staying an extra day. I find this morning your note of the 10th & can only ask you to accept my excuses for this belated reply, which I preceded as soon as possible by a telegram letting you know that I was engaged.
    With many thanks,
    believe me
    Sincerely Yours,
    Robert T. Lincoln"
