Red Clover is a tall, quick growing crop that is easily established and produces high quality forage. It is tolerant to shade and grows best on well-drained, loamy, medium-fine textured soils. Compared to White Clover, Red Clover has the potential to yield up to 30% more and does better in the warmer weather. Deer love Red Clover - its bright colors are attractive and it supplies them with nutrition that is easily digestible.
*This seed is inoculated to aid germination.

Planting Rate:
1/4 acre: 3 - 4 lbs
1/2 acre: 6 - 7 1/2 lbs
1 acre: 12 - 15 lbs
6 - 8 lbs drilled

6.0 or higher

1. Check your soil's pH and nitrogen levels with a soil testing kit.
2. Get rid of weeds.
Mowing or weed whacking the area first may be helpful.
Afterwards, kill the weeds by spraying them with herbicide.
Allow about a week for the herbicide to do its job.

Rake off the dead weeds and brush.Till the soil a little bit with a rake.
4. Once you have received the soil testing results back, apply lime as necessary.

5. Apply fertilizers, if planned.
6. Broadcast seeds.
7. Increase your seed-to-soil contact by recovering the seeds with soil.
*Refer to planting depth above.
8. Try not to visit the plot too often. This will eliminate the possibility of human scent ruining or harming the site.
