A small 4 man class being held inside a small workshop at Richards Home.  Great 1 on 1 instruction with such a small class.

This class will begin at 8:00 AM Wednesday 14  -  Sunday JULY 20, 2021.  We normally do 9 to 10 hours a day.  .      All my students  are part of my family of over 30,000 students over the past 40 years.  I teach them so they can succeed in their life of rebuilding.   All students can call or email me anytime for free advice after taking the classes.  I have a small shop that has AC and a furnace.  I am working on my shop as I used it for storage only for several years.  But will work just fine to teach you.
Basic is for rookies with zero experience, or you have some experience and want to learn the King-Way Methods I have taught for over 40 years around the world  and I will accept former students who want to get more advanced instruction too.
You will Learn to Scrape, surface plates, the ways and then your lathe, Milling Machine, Surface Grinder, etc.
I will teach you how to hand scrape, Biax Power scrape, hand and power 1/2 moon flake, how to straighten and scrape a gib, how to install and scrape Rulon 142 Teflon wear-strip material, basic leveling and alignment techniques,  sharpen a scraper blade, How to level and align machines, rebuilding Tricks of the Trade, etc.
You will bring along your own personal project or we will supply you one.  Most bring an angle-block or Straight-edge, lathe compound or cross-slide, milling machine table, cast iron surface plate, etc.  It would be helpful if your driving to bring a drill press of mill vise, a hand scraper if you own one, Biax Power Scraper if you own one, if not I will furnish one.  I will furnish most of the tools and supplies. - Search Richard King Scraping - on you tube to see how the classes go.

e have several Q & A sessions and  discuss on "How To" level, align, rebuild and preventative maintenance, spindle rebuilding, how to straighten and scrape gibs, how to bond and scrape Turcite.  If you do not have a project they have several for us to work on.
Teaching my classes for over 40 years around the world to new machine builders in Germany, Austria, USA, Taiwan, Norway, Turkey, Sweden, UK. Graduation Certificate given.  I supply most of the tools but would like you to bring along a Hand-scraper, if not I have some for you to use .  I will be adding more ads to be held at other locations and dates here in the USA in 2021.  At the moment this is the only class signed up.  If you want to host a class -let me know.  Hosts are free. I will teach classes pretty much anywhere in the world with exceptions.
I supply everything if you don't have any scraping tools.   It helps if you have your own scrapers.  2 1/2days of learning to hand and power scrape, hand and power 1/2 moon flaking.  You should bring a personal project small enough so you can lift it by yourself.
