    Description

    Sorry, I do not design feeders.  I design feeder motors that last.  Bugs, moisture and bent shafts cause most of the failures.  Running 6-8 times a day for 15 sec....you should see about 3-4 years usage.
    Mud dobbers, ants, underwater- maybe one season.   frank
    ELECMECH'S FEEDER DUTY MOTOR WAS DESIGNED TO BE THE HIGHEST QUALITY MOTOR AVAILABLE TO REPLACE ALL 35MM X 57MM (1.4 INCH X 2.125 INCH) SPINNING FEEDER DRIVE UNITS.
    THIS MOTOR IS MADE WITH A
    BALL BEARING
    IN THE DRIVE END FOR LOAD CARRYING AND COMPLETELY SEALED (AFTER THE MOUNTING SCREWS ARE PUT IN) TO KEEP MOISTURE AND CONTAMINANTS OUT OF IT.
    No holes in the housing drive end or on sides
    .
    THE MOTOR ALSO HAS A RUBBER SHAFT SEAL ON THE DRIVE END TO KEEP WATER FROM RUNNING DOWN THE SHAFT.
    (really critical if you have a shaft that is not straight.
    )
    16 INCH LEADS ARE STANDARD AND THE SHAFT DIAMETER IS 1/8 INCH X 3/4 OF AN INCH LONG- IDENTICAL TO MOST FEEDER MOTORS ON THE MARKET TODAY.
    MOUNTING HOLES: 2 HOLES ON MOTOR SHAFT OUTPUT END ON A 25MM BOLT CIRCLE-  M3 X 0.5 THREADED.
    MOUNTING SCREWS-  (2) PIECES 8MM LONG WITH PHILIIPS HEAD INCLUDED.
    PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING IF THIS MOTOR WILL REPLACE YOUR MOTOR:  Measure your motor basic dimensions- length and width.  The shaft diameter- this unit is 1/8 inch diameter and mounting holes-  25mm or 1.0 inch spacing will be critical.  There are a lot of different motors out there but if you can't decide- send me motor dimensions or picture to help you verify.
    Feeder Failure Modes:  Most of the time, Chinese made motors fail because they have openings that let moisture or worse dirt dobbers get inside.  These opening in the motor case allow water/moisture to get into the motor and on to the commutator causing pitting and failure.  Chinese motors normally also have sleeve bearings in the drive end which more easily corrode if water runs down the shaft.  These Chinese motors normally sell for about .50 if it meets your application needs and would rather just replace it year after year.   These motors run about 5300 rpm on 6Vdc so be careful with 2-3000 rpm motors as they will not distribute feed as effectively.
    Made in the USA......MADE in the USA...did I say?...MADE  in the USA... and  YES.. DESIGNED IN THE USA!
