This is the baby brother to the Straight Edge seen on Keith Rucker (his is 18") You Tube video, plus it has  dovetail angles of 45 and 50 degrees.
I make these Inspection Straight-edges and they are the same design used for over 50 years.  We use these tools to scrape the ways of machines when we rebuild machines.
Brand new King-Way Scraping Consultants cast iron scraping straight edge casting that you will have to machine and scrape so you can scrape flat and dovetail ways on small machine parts like lathe compounds, lathe cross-slide ways, grinder dresser slides, etc.   I have these made in the USA and have been high heat stress relieved.
All you will need to do is to machine it and scrape it. Machine it and hand and or BIAX Power Scrape it and the use as master to scrape the worn ways of your machines.  We do recommend that you stress relive them after machining.
It is 12 1/4 " long x 3" wide x 4 " high, the 45 & 50 degrees are  3/4 & 1" wide depending on how deep you machine it.    It weights 11 pounds (before your machining). plus 5 pounds of packing materials. Made out of close grain cast iron and was professionally stress relieved.     I will ship it  UPS plus insurance.
The straight-edges get rusty looking when they are stress relieved and I store them out-side.  But you have to have it machined, scraped and painted to use and the rust color is not a problem.
